“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”  ~ The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc.

The United States is a melting pot of many cultures, people, ideologies and traditions. I understand the white-male patriarchal system of checks and balances wanting to stop Mexicans, Syrians and others from coming to this great country. Change is hard; in a few years the United States will be a “brown” country, so you can take your privilege, hate, and structural racism (Dr. Paul Farmer), and move back to Europe.

Everyone, not matter where they are from has a right to live wherever they want to and follow the laws-of-the-land they want to call home.
